Overview
Architectural Engineering (AE)
During their time at UC, Architectural Engineering (AE) students are immersed in the full spectrum of designing and engineering buildings - from theoretical conversations about why we build, to designing the form and composition of spaces within a building to engineering and detailing the structural, mechanical, electrical, lighting and plumbing systems in a building.

Civil Engineering (CE)
Students in the Civil Engineering Program begin their studies by developing a strong foundation in physical sciences, including mathematics from calculus through differential equations, calculus-based physics, and chemistry, along with introductions to surveying, drafting, and building information modeling. Throughout their mid-curricular semesters, student begin to develop a broad proficiency in the various areas of Civil Engineering, including study of materials commonly used in construction, structural mechanics and analysis, fundamentals of transportation engineering, fluid flow, and the behavior of soils. In their junior and senior years, most Civil Engineering students begin to focus in one or more of these areas by taking elective courses that suit their areas of interest and career goals.

Construction Management (CM)
Construction managers are instrumental in the construction and rehabilitation of vital infrastructure needed by a modern society. A construction manager leads and manages the successful building of complex and challenging projects within the time, budget, and quality constraints established by the owner. Their highly specialized skills are indispensable for meeting the country’s needs for sustainable houses, buildings, roads, bridges, and manufacturing facilities.
