Welcome to your “Excellence Online at UC” resource site. UC has over 20 years of experience with online teaching and learning. This site refines the most essential elements of that legacy of excellence into several key areas of focus to help you prepare and teach a quality online course. Best Practices Working Online –This section is divided into three categories to fit the needs of our faculty as they work remotely: Teaching, Research, and Self-Care.

Academic Technologies - Resources to support your use of the suite of web based tools at your disposal to teach regardless of the modality you choose.

The idea behind the above graphic is that individual faculty will have the full spectrum of options open to them as they work their way through the semester. They will have a digital framework or “backbone” to work from. The above graphic represents the spectrum of web-enhanced teaching that is available to faculty at the University of Cincinnati. It’s important to note that the arrows point both ways, and that it’s not intended that faculty move one direction or the other except as the needs of their own courses and their own teaching styles require. Each point along the spectrum represents a step closer to Fully Online or Fully On Campus, but there are gaps between each space that represents a space where a faculty member can comfortably situate their courses.
